Literally does not work

I have an updated iPhone 5S. I’ve tried to use TheFork app numerous times over the past year. If it makes it past the opening screen without freezing because of the popup “rate the last restaurant” screen, it will quit randomly, and there are “never” any restaurants nearby (central Paris) though the location setting is properly activated. I have to quit in frustration and navigate to the website every. single. time. This app has only brought me frustration and provides no utility what so ever.
