TheFork - Restaurant bookings App Reviews

Used this to make two reservations in Paris at great restaurants. Got discounts of 30% And 40%. You have to buy the minimum (for ours a main plus either an appetizer or a dessert) and might need to remind them. But it works. Moreover the app itself is great. It was particularly useful since with our Verizon iPhone we couldnt really call.

This is an English language version of La Fourchette, an essential French site for learning about restaurants and reserving a table in France, Spain, or Switzerland. The app is much like Open Table, with reviews, restaurant information, sample menus, maps, and photos.

The Fork really works (I used it in France). Great thanks. Highly recommend.

Wouldnt have been able to make reservations in Paris without this app. Worked seamlessly. Thanks, guys!!

One of my favorite apps doesnt work anymore. Please fix the bugs. Always stuck on the rating page and cant get off or rate. Please fix. If working this app is a five star!

I love that we can try new restaurants and track the ones we really like. A lot of restaurants also offer discounts with reservations. Added bonus is earning "Yums" which can be converted into $.

Terrible app! Never works, reservations never committed, menu not user-friendly at all

Doesnt find restaurants that claim to use this api for reservations. Doesnt save bookings accurately. Confusing user interface. Limited range of choices. Basically its just awful.

It is great for searching a map foe places to eat but when I tap to make a reservation it crashes out and quits. Not useful.

Looks cute to find a spot but no way to order from the app. Yall need to give what Seamless/Grubhub offers while theyre not in France... Yet.

Search for a restaurant, select it from the list, add date and time, and go ... What returns is a list of other restaurants. Are these just ads? At least the app has some reviews.

Maybe its a problem with my account but every time I start the app it asks me to review restaurants (some of which have bookings in the future) and then the app freezes and I need to force quit. Ive blocked notifications but previously it would flood my notifications with these review requests. Ive tried deleting the app and installing on two different phones but the behavior persists.

This app has been released way too early, it is far from stable, utterly useless.

Ive been using this app for almost a year to book restaurants in Paris. Never had a problem. Also recommended it to friends who used it while visiting France. Why wait in line when you can reserve?! Great deals, too: 30, sometimes 50 percent off meals. Vive la Fourchette!

I made a dinner reservation at a popular restaurant in France the day before our reservation. The app showed that the booking was "validated". Thinking all was set, we showed up at the scheduled time. The restaurant owner tells us that The Fork had called them, for the first time, just a half hour before to confirm the reservation. Of course they were fully booked by then. At the same time I get an email from The Fork saying that the restaurant had "just informed" them that there was no remaining availability and that my booking was canceled, when in fact it was The Forks fault for not confirming earlier when there was availability. Given its unreliability, do not use this app to make reservations - best to call the restaurant directly.
